How much money is on offer at this year's Masters?

Brace yourself, the total prize pot for this year's Masters stands at a staggering $15m. Last year it was a seemingly ridiculous $11.5m but that figure has now risen by $3.5m.

This year's winner will walk away with the Green Jacket, a boat load of exemptions and $2.7m – 12 months ago Hideki Matsuyama pocketed $2.07m.

All the figures are eye-wateringly impressive but, for example, you can still pick up over $100k for finishing in 30th spot. Interestingly those who miss the cut each receive $10,000.

The Players Championship this year featured the most lucrative purse in the history of the game at $20m as the PGA Tour continues to bump up its pay-outs.
