Where will Tiger Woods play next?
Having now got four rounds under his belt the big question now is where we will next see Tiger Woods. Incredibly Woods made the cut at Augusta National and, on the Sunday, he confirmed that he will be at the Old Course in St Andrews for the 150th Open.
And he couldn't have been more gushing in his praise for the cradle of the game: “I’ve won two Opens there, it’s the home of golf, and it’s my favourite golf course in the world. So I will be there for that one. But anything in between that, I don’t know. I will try, there’s no doubt, this week I will try and get ready for Southern Hills, and we’ll see what this body is able to do.”
Southern Hills is the home of this year's PGA Championship, and where Woods won one of his four PGAs in 2007, and he has now taken his first step to teeing it up at this year's US Open at Brookline in June.
This week marked the deadline for competitors to submit their entries for the USGA's showpiece and Woods' name is part of the entry list. As is Phil Mickelson who missed Augusta and is still on a sabbatical from the game, self inflicted or otherwise.
Woods has also been inked in to play in the JP McManus Pro-Am at Adare Manor the week before St Andrews in what is a huge boost to the glamorous event and no doubt Tiger's bank balance.
He will join a field which includes the likes of Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka on July 4 and 5 at the venue which will stage the 2027 Ryder Cup.
JP McManus said on the tournament's Facebook page: "Tiger has been a great friend and avid supporter of the Pro-Am for a very long time and we are absolutely thrilled he has committed to play once again in the tournament. His presence at Adare Manor will undoubtedly bring huge excitement to the thousands of spectators and we are very grateful to him for giving up his free time to be with us."
