Virgin Swingers land at Hankley Common for the first society day of S14

I have been a member of the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Golf League (Virgin Swingers) since it first started back in 2005.  This year is Season 14 and if I am lucky I will find myself representing Team Europe at the Streamsong GC in Florida in November.  A full blown Ryder Cup competition against the RoW with the top 12 players in each league chosen to represent their teams for the honour.  I have been fortunate to make three finals in S1, S2 and S9.

Anyone who flies with Virgin can join this online society, just message me @scobbert if you need help or an introduction.

Our first society day of S14 was at the wonderful Hankley Common course near Farnham in Surrey.   We had cracking weather and if I hadn’t missed the fairway on three holes (the heather beds surrounding each fairway were brutal punishment) I would have scored better than my 33 points, just outside the prizes on the day.  It was a really chilly start to the day, but my jacket wasn’t on too long….early morning bunker style with my trousers and spandangly belt too!
