Excited to join the Bunker team!

Hi everyone. My name is Simon Dyson and I’m a professional golfer currently playing on the European Tour. Here’s a little bit about me and my journey in golf so far…
Growing up I played a few sports, but my brother, Nick, encouraged me to focus on golf and I’d gained a scratch rating by the age of 16. My dream of playing golf on tour began to flourish in 1999 when I finished runner-up in the English Amateur Championship. The same year I won the Finnish Amateur title and was a member of the Great Britain and Ireland side which won the Walker Cup at Nairn. I turned professional in September of that year.
Since turning pro I’ve gone on to win the Asian PGA Tour Order of Merit, Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year in 2000, clinching three titles along the way. My breakthrough on the European Tour came in 2006, with victories at the Enjoy Jakarta HSBC Indonesia Open and the KLM Open.
Since then I’ve won numerous times on the European Tour, including twice more at the KLM Open, the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and the Irish Open too.

Joining The Bunker Team…

I’m really excited about joining the team at Bunker Mentality. The attitude and style of the brand is a perfect match for me and the owners are so professional. When I met with the team they emphasised that the brand is 100% golf and that is where I am right now. I’m totally focused on my golf and Bunker will help me get the best out of my game by looking great and feeling great on the course.
I really like the colours, the fit, the material, everything. The minute I saw the collection I knew I’d made the right choice. I know what works, I know what looks good and what people are talking about. As far as designing, I will do as much and be as hands on as they let me.

After my recent injury I’m excited for the start of the season, and can’t wait to wear it well out on tour this year! I’m playing my first tournament of the season on January 7th at the BMW SA Open in Johannesburg which I’m really looking forward to.
