Custom fitting isn’t just for the pro golfer

I was lucky to get a custom fitting slot at the recent Srixon and Cleveland Centre of Excellence event at Studley Wood.  Decided to go dressed for the occasion in my new Bunker Mentality trousers and

jacket, they are so comfortable and the gear I normally wear on the course.  My old Cleveland wedges were certainly reaching end of life so a new set of RTX3 – 50, 54 and 58 degree were the choice on the day, with shortened shafts and a 2 degree adjustment to my lie setting.  The Srixon Tour Wagon was on site and I saw my clubs being made by the team who build clubs for the European Tour players.

I also decided it was time to replace my old Callaway 3 wood, but after sampling a number of alternatives went in the end for a Srixon Z F65 4 wood.  More forgiving and consistent strike and 10 yards further than my old club.  The benefit of the radar, distance and flight technology at such a facility, along with the pro team from ABGolf who    were very patient with me.

I must say they do look really nice in my Virgin Swingers Srixon Tour bag!
